Is everything ready for the show?

Let’s take a peak.IMG_1640a

Well, most people are in their seats…a few are still exploring the museum at the back but they will be seated as soon as they realize the show is about to start.

Is the stage ready? Let’s have a look.

DSCF6641aYes, the stage is ready… so let’s begin.

One at a time…Merino first please ( as that’s the breed most of these tourists seem familiar with). The rest of us one at a time, but no rush (or pushing please!).

Wait your turn! Our master of ceremonies will introduce us in turn…and he will tell the audience all about each of our characteristics and praise our special features.

Don’t you just love him! And the audience sure seems to like him, too!DSCF6646a

Patience please. Don’t worry, there will be lots of food for each of us. Remember we each have our own little feeding cup so hold your places please!

I wonder if the audience knows how many breeds of sheep there are here in New Zealand.

(And I wonder if our web audience realizes they can click on any picture to get a closer look at us. Hint. Hint.)

Bet they will be surprised to learn there are 19 breeds of sheep here today.

So best behaviour please!

Time for the sheep shearing demonstration.

Man, he is good at his job isn’t he! (And I mean both shearing and hosting.)

Dogs. This is a sheep showwhy do we have to have dogs.IMG_1646a

I know they are part of the farm…and their skills do seem to be appreciated by the workers.

But the dogs are always telling US what to do.

And even here they want to steal the show!IMG_1649a

Where on earth are we you ask? Oh, sorry…thought you knew.DSCF6661a
