Dunedin, New Zealand is promoted as The Garden City. Let’s explore a bit and see how it got this distinction.
We are at Larnach Castle in the hills overlooking Dunedin and the Otago Harbor.
We have visited the castle (click here to see part one, Larnach Castle) ,
so let’s head out into the gardens.
It is early autumn here on the South Island of New Zealand, but everything is still so green.

Now, that took the eye of an artist to create all those shapes and shades of green!
Every direction the camera is pointed, there is a photo worth taking.
And tucked in, here and there, are touches of whimsy.
I understand why this garden has been awarded not only the title of
Garden of National Significance
but also the distinction of
Garden of International Significance.
