Well, did you figure out where in the world this photo was taken?
To recap, here is the photo we are talking about.
The clue about the Mediterranean helped narrow the choices down, didn’t it.
Okay, the answer: We are in France.
Specifically: we are in Antibes, France on the Cote D’Azure between Nice and Cannes.
Even more specifically, we are at the Musee Picasso, Antibes.
Picasso stayed here in the Chateau Grimaldi for four months in 1946. All the work he did while in residence remains at the chateau and forms the nucleus of what is now the Musee Picasso Antibes.
Inside the museum there are photographs of the the artist at work, and a vast collection of paintings, sculptures, etc. I particularly enjoyed his ceramic vases.
On the terrace one finds impressive views…
and works of many local artists.
Even outside in front of museum, the Picasso theme continues.
