There are different sections to Las Vegas. The one most of us likely think of when we hear “Las Vegas” is known as The Strip. The original town of Las Vegas (known as Downtown) is a city bus ride or a car trip just north of The Strip.

Welcome to a glimpse of Downtown Las Vegas.

Driving in from the south (The Strip) you may see this interesting building… just across from the new Smith Centre.

They are two separate buildings…the World Market Center where (but do not quote me on this) much of the convention bookings, etc for Las Vegas are negotiated and promoted. However, it is the unique architecture of the building in the foreground that caught our attention. Some kind of medical facility, I think.

Over on Fremont Street you will find quality hotels.

A four (4) block canopy above Fremont Street is the screen

upon which the spectacular shows play.

There are different shows throughout an evening and schedules change monthly.
