Quick recap….where in the world was this photo taken?

The man honoured by this statue is Captain James Cook, British explorer.

So now you also know this statue is in New Zealand.

The photo was taken in Christchurch, New Zealand.

So, now you understand why I thought the Queen Victoria statue with the shepherd and sheep might help you answer the quiz.

But what about the totem pole?

You are thinking That is not a Maori carving…similar, but definitely not Maori.

True, but it might have got you thinking about Maori carvings.

The totem pole in the photo was made by West Coast Indians in British Columbia, Canada and was gifted to New Zealand.
