To Recap…Where in the World were we when this photo was taken?
Answer: We were in Japan at Narita Airport.
After picking up our Japan Rail Pass (which you MUST apply for and pay for BEFORE you leave your home country), we board the Narita Express.
This efficient train will have us in Tokyo within the hour.
And along the way we will catch our first glimpses of Japan.
I do not know what I expected,
but I realize I did not expect rural Japan to look so much like home.
